Nicholas was an amazing guide for my layover in Nairobi. Although I only had about 7-8 hours before my next flight, he made it possible to show me several different spots and faces of Nairobi.
He picked me up at the airport and we drove to the city to the KICC (a historic conference center) where we enjoyed a great view from the rooftop and got a first overview of Nairobi. Then, we went to two different traditional markets that were really impressive to see. People were creating furniture or clothes right there for you!
On the back of a motorbike, we went back to the train station and visited the old train wagons where we also saw a beautiful sunset. With a public bus we went to a restaurant a bit outside of town where we enjoyed some good local food, before I already had to head back to the airport.
Nicholas was super flexible regarding my timing (arriving just in the afternoon and leaving late at night) and customized the program from me and told me many insights about his city. I can highly recommend spending your time in Nairobi with Nicholas!
