Despite the fact that we requested a 9:30 pick up and it was changed to 10:30, we had an amazing time. We left the hotel and went to Abi's grandmothers home where we made lunch from scratch using fresh picked ingredients from the garden and ate with them in their home. While the food was very tasty, we were very pleased with the genuine kindness showed us by her extended family. It was a highlight of our visit to Kenya. This was on a free day for us in Nairobi. Following the meal we made arrangements for Abi to take us to a mall and the Maasai Market. We would highly recommend this to groups of three or four. I would suggest that an optional full day visit to Nairobi be added to the foodie experience.
