What to Expect

The Floating Market is located 110 kms South of Bangkok. The activities at the Market usually die down by noon. I will pick you up early in the morning, that way we can get the most out of our day.

We will drive along the shore-line and pass by Salt Farms, before we make our first stop at the local Market in Samut Songkram. It is fun to stroll the market full of food, fruits and view the life style of people in this town. The highlight is to witness the dramatic scene as a morning train bullies through the crowded market place. People clear the tracks, only to re enter seconds later, after the train has passed. This is truly an unforgettable moment.

While at the Coconut plantation, we will witness the whole process of coconut sugar production and learn how every coconut tree is being utilized in Thailand.
On our Long Tail River Cruise, we will pass fruit orchards, villages and end up at the heart of the floating market. It will be fun to experience where boat vendors are congregated and barter for their goods.

"Seven Eleven" convenience stores ,continue to appear on every corner of every town .Paved roads and shopping Malls are developing rappidly. It is quite obvious that sooner rather than later, this traditional way of the "Thai rural life" will be a thing of the past.

On our way back to Bangkok, a final stop is made at a Wood Carving center, to see several Thai artisans at work. Most of these beautiful wooden products are made from teak wood.
