What to Expect

Day 1: Tashkent
Arrival Tashkent afternoon time or early morning of next day, meet by your driver, transfer & overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Tashkent – Urgench – Khiva
After the early breakfast at the hotel, we will transfer you to domestic airport for Urgench by first morning flight. Meet with your local guide and tour in Khiva: visit the oldest part of the city - Kunya-Ark fortress, including Kurinish Khana (17c); Mohammed-Amin-Khan (19c) Madrassah, Islam Khodja Minaret; Palvan-Kari complex, Abd Al Bobo complex (18c), Rafanek Madrassah, Mohammed Rakim Khan (19 c), Amir-Tur Madrassah, and Sho-I-Kalandar Bobo Mausoleum. After lunch you will see Mazary Sharif Madrassah, Kheivak well (10c), Uch Avlioli («three saints») Mausoleum, Jami Mosque(18c), Kutluq-Murad Inaq (19c) Madrassah, and Pakhlavan Mahmoud Mausoleum. Overnight will be at the hotel.
Day 3: Khiva – Bukhara
Today we will have a long transfer to Bukhara. On the way, we will stop near the biggest river in Central Asia Amudarya (Oxus). Upon arrival to Bukhara, you will have free time for rest. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4: Bukhara
Full day will be dedicated to a city tour in Bukhara. Meeting with your local guide & tour in Bukhara: today you will visit Ismael Samani mausoleum (9-10c) - vault of Bukhara rulers' dynasty, Chor-Minor, Chashma-Ayub Mausoleums (14 c), and Bukhara local bazaar. In Old Bukhara you are going to see Poli-Kalon ensemble including Minaret (12c) , Mosque (15c), functioning Madrassah Miri-Arab (16 c), Amir- Alim-Khan Madrassah (14c), Taqi (trading domes), and Kukeldash Madrassah (16c). After lunch time you will see Lyab-i-Hauz (17c), Nadir Divanbegi (17c), Magoki Attari (16c), Ulug Beg (15c), Abdul Aziz (17c) Madrassahs as well as Registan Ensemble, Ark Fortress (16c) and Bolo-Hauz complex (18 c). Overnight is at the hotel.
Day 5: Bukhara – Gijduvan - Samarkand
After the breakfast, we will start our way to Samarkand – The pearl of the East. On the way we’ll stop over at Gijduvan village to visit famous private pottery workshop which was previously visited by Mrs. Hillary Clinton, Sir Charles and many of others. There we’ll have a chance to learn the history of pottery culture of Uzbekistan, short master class of pottery preparing and do buy the items you liked. Afterwards continue drive to Samarkand. Upon arrival you will have check in & settlement at the hotel.
Day 6: Samarkand
After the breakfast, meet with your local guide at hotel reception & you will have full day sightseeing tour of Samarkand. It will include visiting of Guri Emir- Legendary mausoleum where Amir Temur and all his family buried, Registan square, world famous complex of three Madrasahs and golden dome mosque, Mosque of Bibi Khanum, the biggest mosque ever built in Central Asia as gift from wife of Temerlame to her husband. Shahi - Zinda necropolises, a holy place and cemetery with graves of Temurid’s dynasty and a grave of cousin of Prophet Muhamed, observatory of Ulugbek, incredible construction of 15 century for studying astronomy. Overnight will be at the hotel.
Day 7: Samarkand – Tashkent
After the breakfast, you will have free time to explore Samarkand on your own. Afternoon you transfer to Tashkent (350 km, around 4 hrs drive). Upon arrival you will check in and settle at the hotel. Overnight is at the hotel.
Day 8: Tashkent – Departure
After the breakfast meet with your local guide and tour in Tashkent: Independence square and Amir Timur square – main city center, Tashkent metro ride – Tashkent metro is one of the most decorated from formed soviet times, visiting old city of Tashkent – Chorsu bazaar and narrow streets of uzbek mahalla (old living area), Tashkent national arts Centre, local "Broadway" - a walking street with artists, cheap souvenirs and eating-places, city fountains and modern monuments. You will visit Barak-khan madrasah (16th c.), the Kaffal-Shashi mausoleum (15th c.), Kukeldash Madrasah (16th c.) & Hasti imam mosque with real Othman Khalif Quran.
Transfer to Tashkent airport and departure for next destination.
